If You Don’t Have a Life…

Let’s say you want a more impressive bookshelf, but you don’t particularly like to read. Here’s an idea:  Go buy a copy of QFinance: The Ultimate Resource.

This 8 ½ X 11 inch, 2 ½ inch thick, 7-pound (I’m not kidding!) bulldozer of a book makes you look wickedly smart.  You get 2,208 pages!

Yep, and I wrote pages 415 through 417.

My chapter, one out of 280+, is titled “Merger Integration and Transition Management:  A New Slant for Finance Executives.”

QFinance is the brainchild of The Qatar Financial Center.  Bloomsbury Publishing (UK) released it a few months back, describing it as the world’s “One-stop guide for finance professionals, compiled by 300+ experts covering key aspects of finance including risk management, cash-flow management, operations, macro issues, regulation, and auditing.”

I got invited to put down some of my opinions in the M&A section.

QFinance can be yours for a mere $250.  But wait!  Amazon asks you to shell out only $157.50 for the book.  So that leaves you over $92 for other forms of high entertainment.  (Of course, you could buy it on Kindle and pay just $39.99 . . . but then people wouldn’t think you’re brainy because you wouldn't have the big fat book on your desk.)
